It offers 330 hp, revised suspension, hydraulic steering, and mid-engine balance in a 1,110 kg package—Porsche at its purest before turbocharging and electric steering. Values have climbed from £40,000 to £50,000–£70,000 for manuals. The 987.2 engine is post-IMS/RMS, so reliability is excellent. This sits at the sweet spot: analog enough to be special, rare enough to appreciate, and usable enough to enjoy.
