The thesis

Only 250 RHD examples delivered to the UK. The Cayman R shaved 55 kg from the Cayman S, added 10 bhp (325 bhp total), fitted PASM as standard, and introduced the iconic Peridot Green. It's a purist's mid-engined Porsche, dynamically sharper than the contemporary 997 in some eyes, and values are quietly appreciating. Recent examples with good history and low miles are trading £45–55k. Manual and PDK split 50:50 originally; manuals now command slight premiums. With the 987 generation widely regarded as the best-driving Cayman, the R is the apex.
