The thesis
The 981 GTS (335 hp, 3.4L flat-six) offers the sweet spot between the base S and the hardcore GT4: sharper suspension, wider track, and unique styling, all with excellent daily usability. Manual examples are trading in the £48–63k range in the US, reflecting steady demand. Not yet at GT4 prices, but values have firmed as the last naturally aspirated GTS before the turbo 718 era. Good appreciation runway if manual flat-sixes continue to climb.
