Boxster Spyder is the lightweight, focused variant with manual-only transmission, fabric roof, and minimal equipment—a driver's car in the mould of the 911 GT3 RS philosophy applied to the mid-engine platform. Low production numbers, especially in RHD manual form, and the Spyder badge carries cachet. Shares the naturally aspirated 3.4 flat-six and hydraulic steering with the Cayman R. Currently undervalued relative to its rarity and driving purity; market hasn't separated Spyder from base Boxster yet.
