Is the Porsche 997.2 GT3 a good investment?
Manual (2009–2011)
The thesis
The 997.2 GT3 is the final 911 GT3 sold exclusively with a manual gearbox before the PDK-only 991.1 era, and the last with the celebrated Mezger engine, mechanical steering, and passive rear axle—marking the end of the truly analogue GT3. With only ~200 UK RHD examples from a 2,200-unit global run, it remains scarce. UK prices sit between £86k–£120k, having risen steadily (13.5% YoY per recent data) as collectors wake up to its last-of-line status. Less expensive and more attainable than the £200k+ 997.2 GT3 RS, yet delivering the same core purity.
