Is the Porsche 911 a good investment?
R (991.1, 2016)
The thesis
Exactly 991 units built globally (27 UK-registered), this six-speed manual GT3-powered purist's 911 was Porsche's riposte to dealer markups on the GT3 RS. The 4.0L flat-six delivers 500hp in a sub-1,400kg package without the wing or cage. UK average values now sit £333k; the combination of extreme rarity, manual gearbox, and naturally aspirated engine in the last non-turbo 911 generation makes this highly collectible. Markets have already priced in much of the appreciation, but scarcity supports stable-to-rising values.
