The thesis

The 997.2 GT3 RS is the last manual GT3 RS (991.2 and 992 RS are PDK-only) and the final Mezger-engined GT3 derivative. It's the ultimate 997, with 4.0-litre flat-six, lightweight focus, and RS aero. Market has run hard: £140–190k places it at or above budget ceiling. While it is genuinely last-of-breed for manual RS, pricing already reflects this, having appreciated sharply 2015–2023. Collector demand is strong but the cycle appears late. Best to observe rather than chase at current highs.
