Is the Porsche 911 (997.2) a good investment?
GT3 RS 4.0 (2011–2012)
The thesis
The 997 GT3 RS 4.0 is the acknowledged zenith of the Mezger-era GT3 line: 4.0L flat-six with titanium rods from the RSR, 9,000rpm redline, manual gearbox, and just 600 built. It's the last naturally-aspirated, manual, Mezger-engined GT3 RS ever made. Current UK values £400K–£500K (average £437K) represent late-cycle pricing—this car has already appreciated 3x from its £130K launch. Confidence is rooted in bluechip status and finite supply, but upside is measured; we're buying established greatness, not discovering it.
