Is the Porsche 911 a good investment?
997.2 GT3 (Manual, 2010–2011)
The thesis
The 997.2 GT3 is the final Mezger-engined GT3 before the 991 generation switched to DFI, electric steering, and PDK-only. The 3.8L flat-six delivers 435bhp with PASM, manual six-speed, and mechanical steering—the last truly analogue GT3. Only ~2,200 built globally, with an estimated 200 RHD UK cars. Values range £90–120k, below the RS but above the 997.1. As the 991/992 GT3s grow more digital, the 997.2 is the purist's choice and appreciation runway remains intact.
