The thesis

The 997.1 GT3 is the entry point to Mezger-engined 911 GT cars—naturally aspirated 3.6L, 415hp, 6-speed manual, and 3,329 built globally. Recent sales show consistent £80–120k range ($100–150k), with clean examples at £150k+. Unlike the RS variants, the 997.1 GT3 is still early-cycle and undervalued relative to its significance: the first 997 GT car, the penultimate non-turbo 911 GT3. As 997 RS models push £200–300k, the 997.1 GT3 offers similar DNA at a steep discount. Strong fundamentals, good usability, and room to run as collectors recognize it as the last simple GT3.
