The thesis

Production limited to 991 units, the 991 R was Porsche's purist response to collector demand: 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six, six-speed manual, lightweight (50kg less than GT3 RS), no wing. Prices surged after launch, softened briefly, and have stabilised in the £260–350k band. As the 991.1 GT3 lacked a manual, the R is the only naturally aspirated manual GT from that generation. Strong collector demand persists; risk is that it already ran hard 2016–23.
