Is the Porsche 911 a good investment?
991.2 GT3 (2018–2019, manual)
The thesis
After the 991.1 GT3 was PDK-only, Porsche reintroduced the 6-speed manual for 991.2 GT3 (2018–19) in response to overwhelming demand following the 911 R. Approximately 3,000 manual GT3s were built globally out of ~9,500 total 991.2 GT3s. The 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six produces 500 hp with a 9,000 rpm redline. Current market pricing £130–240k positions this as the most accessible manual, naturally aspirated GT3 with modern refinement and reliability. The manual 991.2 GT3 is early in its appreciation cycle, with strong tailwinds from the 'last manual GT3' narrative before 992 went PDK-only again for the RS variant.
