Is the Porsche 911 a good investment?
991.1 GT3 Touring Package (manual, 2017–2018)
The thesis
The 991.1 generation reintroduced the manual GT3 after the outcry over PDK-only 991.1 GT3s, and the Touring Package (launched 2017) deleted the rear wing for a subtler, road-focused aesthetic while retaining the full 500hp 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six. RHD manual 991 GT3s (standard and Touring) are rare and highly sought in the UK, blending modern usability with analogue purity. Prices have risen steadily but remain below the 997 GT3 RS 4.0, offering a newer, more refined platform with strong appreciation potential as the last naturally aspirated manual GT3 generation.
