JDM Type R and Type RZ variants are the focused, lightweight FD3S versions: 13B-REW twin-turbo rotary, 5-speed manual, RHD, lower production than base FD. Not last-of-breed (Spirit R holds that title), but earlier Type R variants offer stronger driver focus and lower entry pricing than Spirit R. US 25-year eligibility opened 2016+; market mature but not peaked. Rotary character unique, strong cult following.
