Is the Lotus Exige a good investment?

The thesis

One of only 217 globally marking the end of 21 years of Exige production. The supercharged V6 delivers 420hp in a sub-1,100kg package with a proper manual gearbox. As the last analogue, hydraulically-steered Lotus before electrification, this Final Edition has barely depreciated from new and represents the zenith of the lightweight philosophy Colin Chapman founded. Currently early-cycle as recent production ends haven't had time to mature into collectibles.
