Is the Lotus Exige a good investment?

The thesis

Only 50 240Rs were built, all UK-market, all with supercharged Toyota 2ZZ producing 243bhp in a 930kg package. It's the rarest and most focused Series 2 Exige before the production S models diluted the recipe. Values have held well but the 240R has been overlooked compared to V6 Exiges; as collectors wake up to its ultra-low production and track pedigree, expect tightening. Last true featherweight Lotus rocket ship before the V6 era added weight and complexity.
