Is the Lamborghini Gallardo a good investment?

The thesis

Gated-manual LP Gallardos are vanishingly rare: only 59 US-spec units, roughly 1% of all LPs built. The LP560-2 and LP550-2 (Valentino Balboni) are RWD, naturally aspirated V10s with the iconic open-gate shifter—the last Lamborghini manual. Pre-LP manuals (~6–8% of production) are more numerous and cheaper. LP manuals in Europe now trade £110–150k and are climbing steadily. With V12 Murciélagos at seven figures, LP manuals are next in line.
