The thesis

All UK S2000s retained the F20C 2.0L 9,000rpm engine (unlike US AP2s), and 2002-03 cars gained the glass rear screen and improved oil banjo bolts, making them mechanically superior to early AP1s. Median auction prices sit £24.5-25k; strong demand confirmed by rising Porsche/Honda export volumes. The analogue 9k-rpm NA roadster is extinct in new production, and collector demographics skew millennial/Gen-Z (long runway). However, prices have appreciated significantly since 2020, so the cycle is mid not early. Condition and originality dominate value; unmodified examples still available but thinning fast.
