Is the Honda S2000 a good investment?

The thesis
The AP2 S2000 is Honda's last naturally aspirated, rear-drive roadster with a screaming 2.0L F20C (Europe) or 2.2L F22C (US/JDM) VTEC engine. UK cars retained the 2.0L throughout, delivering 237bhp and an 8,000rpm redline. Production ended in 2009; 7,898 sold in the UK. Prices for clean examples sit in the £18–28k band—affordable now, but the S2000 is climbing as the last pure Honda sports car. Edition 100 run-out models (100 units, Grand Prix White/red leather) command premiums.
