The thesis

One of the last great naturally aspirated Honda driver's cars, with a 2.2L F22C engine, 240hp, 9,000rpm redline, and manual-only six-speed transmission. AP2 models (2004+) addressed early AP1 snap-oversteer issues with revised suspension and steering. UK market shows well-preserved AP1s approaching £30k and late, low-mileage AP2s reaching £38–40k. Classic.com pegs AP2 benchmark at £29k (Hagerty ~$43k for condition #2). The S2000 has appreciated strongly post-2020, fueled by millennial/Gen Z demand for analog sports cars. Originality commands a premium; modified cars are heavily discounted. The market has stabilized after sharp 2020–22 gains but remains poised for further gradual appreciation as unmodified examples become rarer.
