Is the Honda S2000 a good investment?

The S2000 has appreciated strongly since 2020, with pristine AP1 examples approaching £30k and median auction prices at £24.5-25k. Only 4,300 remain on UK roads, many modified or high-mileage. The 9,000rpm VTEC experience is irreplaceable in today's market, reliability is legendary, and collector interest is firming. However, the strong run-up from sub-£10k values three years ago suggests much of the easy appreciation has occurred, placing it mid-cycle rather than early.
