Is the Ferrari 550 a good investment?
Maranello 6-speed manual RHD (1996-2002)
The thesis
The 550 Maranello is the last volume-production front-engine Ferrari V12 GT to come standard with a 6-speed manual. Its 485hp 5.5L Tipo F133 V12 is bombproof, and Pininfarina styling has aged beautifully. Manual 575Ms and 599s now command wild premiums; the 550 offers the same experience at half the price. Average sale price is £173k but clean UK RHD examples can be found below £150k. Classiche certification adds 20-30% but ensures provenance.
