Is the Ferrari 458 Speciale a good investment?
Coupe (2013–2015)
The thesis
The Speciale is the ultimate expression of Ferrari's 4.5-litre naturally aspirated V8, producing 605hp and representing the final hurrah before turbocharging arrived with the 488. UK market values fell from a 2015 peak of £400k to £250k in the early 2020s, but have since recovered strongly to £315–320k+ and recent data shows a 28.9% one-year surge reaching €800–900k for top examples. The last NA Ferrari V8 thesis is compelling, the 458 platform is proven reliable, and low-mileage RHD cars tick the 'last of breed' box perfectly. Cycle position is mid: meaningful appreciation has occurred, but the scarcity and significance suggest further headroom exists for best examples.
