Is the BMW M5 a good investment?
E60 V10 6-speed manual (2007–2010)
The thesis
The only BMW M car ever powered by a naturally-aspirated V10, and the manual variant is exceptionally rare: just 1,296 six-speed manuals built for the US market, none for Europe. The 5.0L S85 engine revs to 8,250rpm and produces 500hp—Formula 1 DNA in a four-door. Values bottomed around 2018–2020 and have appreciated ~35% since then, but pricing remains far below peak Porsche GT or Ferrari manual territory, suggesting significant headroom.
