It's SMG-only (no manual), which historically held values back, but the CSL has now achieved icon status. Recent UK sales show £62,500–£76,000 for good examples, with exceptional cars pushing higher. This is the ultimate E46 and a modern BMW legend. However, appreciation has been strong—it's late cycle, and the SMG gearbox remains divisive among purists.
