The thesis

The first-gen R8 V10 with gated 6-speed manual is the most analog R8 ever built—5.2L naturally aspirated V10 (518 hp), shared with the Gallardo, and roughly 700 V10 manuals delivered to the US. Recent forum data and auctions show £50k–£75k for V8 manuals and £70k–£95k+ for V10 manuals in good condition. The manual V10 is the last naturally aspirated, gated-shift Audi supercar; production ended 2015. It's UNDER budget, ticks both criteria, and hasn't yet had its 'moment'—the market is just waking up to gated-manual scarcity. Downsides: not a Porsche or Ferrari (slower liquidity), and the Type 4S R8 (2016+) muddies the 'last' narrative slightly.
