The gen-1 R8 V8 with gated manual is the only analogue supercar at this price. Take-up was minimal – 99% of late buyers chose S Tronic – making clean manuals increasingly scarce. Prices start around £30k but decent examples with the iconic gated shifter cluster in the £35k–£45k band. This is the last affordable entry to a naturally aspirated, mid-engined daily-usable supercar with genuine exotic DNA before electrification extinguishes the formula.
